Priceless NASA Components

As a part of an on-going globally significant project, we have been working with Leicester University and the European Space Agency to deliver vital and literally priceless components into NASA.

These components are an integral part of the James Webb Space Telescope, the ultimate replacement of the Hubble Space Telescope. Specialist handling was required plus close focus Pinnacle supervision in the UK and USA throughout the door to door logistic operation which utilised a temperature controlled air cargo Module. Surface vibration concerns were addressed through the use of air suspension vehicles.

The JWST project is working to a 2018 launch date. Webb will seek and is expected to see the first light of galaxies that formed the early universe, connecting the Big Bang of creation to our present day Universe.

“Delivery to NASA of the MIRI instrument for the James Webb Space Telescope was the highest value shipment that we have ever been responsible for in 50 years of space research, and the most difficult from a logistical point of view. Pinnacle were instrumental throughout the planning, organisation and ultimately the highly successful implementation of the delivery plan. We look forward to working with them again on any similar future projects.”
